Tools We Use in the Lab
At PAL, we apply six complementary types of analytical tools, selecting and combining them based on what each project requires.
Data Analytics. Large-scale surveys, econometric and quasi-experimental analysis, input-output modeling, spatial analytics, and integration of administrative microdata from sources.
Policy Research. Impact evaluations, benchmarking studies, feasibility assessments, and inferential research to develop evidence-based policy lessons grounded in the specific context of each engagement.
Stakeholder Engagement. Structured interviews, focus groups, participatory workshops, town-hall processes, and deliberative polling conferences to ground analysis in the experience of people and organisations directly affected by policy.
Capacity Building and Training. Tailored programmes, workshops, and toolkits designed for government agencies, civil society organisations, and institutional partners.
Strategic Advisory. Strategic planning and roadmap development, institutional and governance design, and operationalisation of research findings into actionable recommendations.
Publications and Communications. Research reports, policy briefs, and public communications designed to reach technical, policy, and media audiences simultaneously.
