This study was carried out as part of a regional project implemented by Health Security Partners (HSP) in Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey. The project aimed to (1) provide an overview of the biopharmaceutical industry in Turkey by presenting a sector “snapshot” that outlines its activities and key players (local manufacturers, distributors, representatives of international manufacturers, etc.); (2) identify and analyze challenges related to supply chains, regulations, quality standards, cybersecurity, or information security, and offer recommendations for measures and practices that can help companies assess their situation and overcome these challenges, creating broader impact by sharing these insights with industry representatives.

Within the scope of the project, PAL designed and conducted an electronic survey among sector players in Turkey, identified and analyzed case studies that could serve as examples for other countries, and presented these cases at a symposium bringing together participants from the three countries.
